This is not right

I've lived in New Orleans long enough for stuff like this not to bother me...but this takes the cake. We all know some activities in and around the French Quarter are morally questionable and we allow that freedom while it remains subtle and targeted to the "mature" crowd. But this sign high above I-10 east from Metairie is neither subtle nor is it selectively targeted. When you see it you may agree this has got to be moved.

Sacrifice

 

I don't usually showcase my opinions but I wanted to share this talk I gave at a recent fraternity event. In it I expressed my feelings about a subject that continues to effect my life and the lives of many around me. We rarely find "Sacrifice" as a subject of many public addresses probably because we all have either received or provided and in both cases the sooner it is forgotten the better we feel. I want to pay homage to those who have acted selflessly and have suffered loss for someelse. And to those of us who have been helped...pass it on.
